Famous Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra launched their new 4 wheel drive jeep like SUV Mahindra Thar in India today (21 December 2010). The Mahindra Thar which was launched in Europe earlier, has India's first BS IV CRDe diesel engine in soft top. New Mahindra Thar is powered by an engine which delivers a maximum power of 77 kW(105 Bhp) and 247 Nm torque which makes it the most powerful engine in its class. It features an integral power steering and short turning radius of 5.25 m for quick turns. It has an Independent front suspension for comfort and agility off road. Apart from all these, new Mahindra Thar has a removable top for that wind in the hair experience.
